Ontario, the Manitoba AAA league & the host Pembina Valley Hawks will
all meet to see which team will represement this region at the Telus Cup
in Levis, Quebec. The Regional event is from April 1 - 4 in Morden
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK CHICKEN CHEF - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -
The Manitoba AAA Midget League is pleased to announce that Jory Mullin of the Pembina Valley Hawks, is this weeks recipient of the Chicken Chef Offensive Player of the Week in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League. The Hawks picked up 3 wins this past week-end, thanks in largepart to the play of Mullin. A native of Cartwright, the 5'10", 165lb. center elevated his game when it was needed the most. In the 3rd gameof the week-end, Mullin recorded 4 of the Hawks 5 goals, including 2 in thefinal minute of regulation to tie and win the game versus the WinnipegThrashers, (5-4). Added to the 2 assists that he racked up in Kenora,(4-3 & 6-1 wins) Mullin had a6 point week to lead all Hawks scorers. Mullin is listed by the MJHL'sNeepawa Natives.
DEKALB - DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Manitoba AAA Midget League is pleased to announce that Erik Pushka, defenseman for the Eastman Selects, is this weeks recipient of the DEKALB Defensive Player of the Week in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
This week Erik contributed 3 goals and an assist to go along witha plus 8 rating helping the Selects to 3 wins. (5-2 vs Parkland, 11-0 vsYellowhead and 4-2 vs Kenora). Counted on in allsituations,including playing defence when needed, the Springfield Collegiate Student is abig part of the Selects.
For theseason Eric now has 20 goals, 14 assists, 12 penalty minutes and plus 13 ratingthrough 28 games played.
MANITOBA AAA MIDGET HOCKEY LEAGUE PLAYERS OF THE MONTH
WHL - Offensive Player of the Month Sponsored by the Western Hockey League
Jory Mullin of the Pembina Valley Hawks is this Month's Western Hockey Leagues Offensive Player of the Month.
It was an extremely productive month for the Hawks Jory Mullin. The Hawks played 12 games, and during that stretch, the 2nd year center from Cartwright recorded a total of 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists), helping the Hawks to 11 wins in those 12 games. Mullin also recorded at least one point in every game that was played, and multiple points in 7. Mullin is listed by the MJHL's Neepawa Natives.
